"Governor Christie will also lower the Corporate Tax Rate to a more competitive 25% which S&P has suggested could help create as many as 10 million jobs, and allow companies a one-time opportunity to repatriate over two trillion dollars of profits currently sitting overseas at a much lower tax rate which would unleash a wave of new capital investment."

Should Any Federal Taxes Be Increased?
"I'm not in favor of increasing taxes on anyone.
And in New Jersey, I have proven that. We haven't raised taxes on anyone in six years. In fact, Americans for Tax Reform just said two weeks ago that I vetoed more tax increases than any governor in American history. I vetoed over 400 bills that the Democratic legislature has sent me that would have increased spending and increased taxes. And every veto has been sustained.
The fact is you either have to hold the line on taxes or you don't. Once you let them get their foot in the door, they're coming for your wallet next. Whoever the person in the middle class is who thinks higher taxes on somebody else is going to lead to higher taxes on them, it is."

Should Social Security Be Privatized?
"Social Security exists so America's seniors, after a lifetime of hard work, don’t fall into poverty. Governor Christie is proposing that Americans pay into this system throughout the course of their life knowing it will be there if they need it to support them, but if they are fortunate enough not to need it, they will have paid into a system that will continue to help Americans who need it most. This proposal will not impact current retirees, and will be phased-in gradually.
Future retirees with income of $80,000 or more will receive benefits on a sliding scale, and benefits phase out entirely for those that have $200,000 a year of other income…Starting in 2022, the NRA [Normal Retirement Age] will increase 2 months per year until it reaches 69, at which point it will be indexed to gains in longevity… Governor Christie is also proposing to raise the Early Retirement Age at a similar pace -- raising it by 2 months per year until it reaches 64 from the current level of 62… Seniors who keep working past the age 62 have paid their fair share to the government and should no longer be taxed. This will have the effect of expanding the U.S. labor force and growing the U.S. economy… Social Security growth be based on the true growth in the cost of living (a concept economists call Chained-Consumer Price Index). To provide added protection for the elderly who are most impacted by fluctuations in consumer prices, a one-time 5 percent increase in monthly benefits will be provided to all beneficiaries when they reach the age of 85."

My feeling is: Let's improve the list. I don't mind excluding people (from buying guns) who are on that list if they're on that list in a valid way. I think this is something that should be decided by the people of each state and not imposed upon them by a group of lawyers sitting in black robes at the U.S Supreme Court. That being said, those five lawyers get to impose it under our system and so our job is going to be to support the law of the land. And that under the Supreme Court's ruling is now the law of the land, but I don’t agree with the way it's been done... But it's been done and those of us who take an oath have a responsibility to abide by that oath."

Should Religious Liberty Give People the Right to Deny Goods and Services for Gay Marriage?
"We have a system of laws in this country, and those laws need to be followed. And the fact is, religious organizations should be protected from having to do anything that violates their religious beliefs as a religious organization. That should be protected.
But other businesses who want to do business, they should have to be able to do business under the laws of our country. When I take an oath of office as Governor, my oath of office is to enforce the laws of the state of New Jersey. Not the laws I like or the laws that I agree with, but all the laws.
And if we don't want to have a country of men and women but a country of laws, where everyone is treated equally, that's what we need to do. Religious organizations absolutely should be protected, everyone should freely practice their religion the way they see fit, but businesses should not be allowed to discriminate, no."
