Positions & Statements on the Issues
[Editor’s Note: On Tuesday July 26, 2016, Senator Bernie Sanders moved to give Hillary Clinton the Democratic nomination by acclamation after every state's delegates (excluding Vermont) had voted during the roll call at the Democratic National Convention. He stated the following from the floor of the Democratic National Convention: "Madam Chair, I move that the convention suspend the procedural rules. I move that all votes, all votes cast by delegates, be reflected in the official record, and I move that Hillary Clinton be selected as the nominee of the Democratic Party for president of the United States."]
